Need help on deleting?   Everybody knows the basics.  But here is a collection of special issues that come up if you build a lot or own land.   
How do I delete a large thing like a building if all the parts aren't linked?

"Select only my objects" in the menu system.
Go into edit mode.
Put your camera where you can see the whole building and none of your own you don't want to move.
Draw a square over the build.
Right click and select "Take". Whole building will now be in your inv. Click on "Recent " at the top of your inv and rename this item to your building name.

I deleted a particle script, but it still seems to be making particles.  How do I get rid of them?

Particle generation becomes a property of the host object.  A good rule is, don't reuse objects after the have had a script running in them.  They may have various properties set by the scripts.
