| Character and Backstory |
Older lives in the "Happy Acres Retirement Home," which he
usually refers to as the "old folks home." He lives next door
(on the right) to Lady Sludberry. He is old, indefinitely old.
He plays on his age frequently, insisting that he was present at any
time in the past or in fictional events. He will have a
non-traditional view of the event, generally a reversed view of some
aspect. He will often mix current culture into these events,
usually to show some foible of current culture. He will often
tell how he participated in the events and interacted with the
characters. It will never be clear whether he really believes his stories or is just putting people on in response to the stereotyped view of old age. His wife, Martha, is not present now at this time. She may return in some future episode He has a love-hate relationship with Lady Letitia. He calls her " Lettie" and highlights her exaggerated display of self-importance. He owns a big dog named "Jock," which is often chasing Letitia's pussy. Jock has several balls to chase and Older often leaves them out in the yard. Neither Older nor Letitia will notice the double entendre in the dialog. A visitor may notice it with embarrassment, trying to change the subject or to insert clarifying language. |
